At last , the warm weather is kicking in and summer is right around the corner! Aside from sunglasses and cold drinks, flip-flops are a girl’s best friend. Although flip-flops look nice and great for the summer weather ,are they really worth the foot damage though? The planar fascia is the flat band of tissue that extends from the heel to the toe. When the tissue is improperly stretched, it becomes weak and swollen , causing severe heel pain .
These problems could be avoided if flip-flops are not constantly worn. There is even better alternatives for the hot summer weather such as Birkenstocks which provide more support then flat surfaced flip-flops.
