Anyone who has visited our chiropractic clinic in Oakville knows that our approach to health care is laid back with the emphasis on patient needs and an overall relaxed clinic environment where we treat everyone like family. Lately, however, there has been some issues. The majority of the blame has been aimed (albeit irrationally) towards the good Doctor, Steve Knighton, just a local chiropractor in Oakville trying to live his best life. Some say its Steve’s matching belt-shoe-shirt-watch combos, others say its because he is lazy and doesn’t care about the situation… Nottinghill Family Wellness Centre’s firm stance is that they are both right.
You see, 8 months ago, the front desk of the clinic thought it would be a good idea to get a clinic animal. They frolicked with the idea of a clinic hamster, python, lobster and even a cat, at the end WE as a team decided on a dog…. Not any clinic dog .. but the dog named Astro, that we changed to Scooter….
Early in the relationship Scooter (formerly Astro) would come everyday to the clinic. Walk around for 3 minutes then find his bed and sleep for 4.5 hours, getting up only in the hope that one of the patients had brought him a treat. As time went on, Scooter became increasing heavy set (possibly due to a Mulberry bush berry binging situation) and incredibly lazy. So much so that in the mornings, after Scooter ate breakfast with Dr. Steve, he would struggle his way back up the stairs to sleep the day away in the comforts of a king bed.
This and this alone is the main reason why the clinic dog has not been present over the last week…. shear laziness… Hope everyone had a Great November !
