Chiropractic Chin Tucks
3 Sets of 10 in the Morning – 3 sets of 10 in the Evening
** Do as often as possible!
- This exercise can be performed laying on the back, standing or sitting
- In a neutral posture pull the head backwards (making a double chin)
- You can guide this movement with your fingers in-front of the chin
- Keep head and eyes level
- Hold for 5 seconds
- Relax and repeat 10 times
TA Hollowing
3 Sets of 10 in the Morning – 3 Sets of 10 in the Evening
** Do as often as possible!
- Begin on your back with knees bent and feet on the ground
- Your lumbar spine (low back) should be neither arched up nor flattened but aligned normally with a small gap between the floor and your back. This is the “neutral” lumbar position
- Breathe in. As you breathe out pull your lower abdomen inwards as if your belly button is going back towards the floor
- Hold for 5 seconds and stay relaxed, allowing yourself to breathe in and out freely as you hold the tension in your lower stomach
- Relax and repeat 10 times
- **You may also think of closing the space between your lower back and the ground when activating this muscle properly
Child’s Pose
Complete three times, hold for 30 seconds each time
- Find a comfortable space where you can kneel
- Spread your knees shoulder width apart, keep your toes touching and sit back on your heels
- Reach forward as far as you can, keeping your backside in contact with your heels
- Try to drop your shoulders and relax your back, letting your chest fall towards the floor
- Aim to feel the stretch all the way along your spine, especially through the mid and lower back.
