Direct Insurance Billing and Payment Options in Oakville
Nottinghill Family Wellness Centre offers direct insurance billing for chiropractic care, physiotherapy and registered massage therapy when permitted by your individual benefits plan.
Our front desk can submit your treatment claim electronically to many major Canadian insurance companies. In most cases, you will only need to pay the portion of the appointment that is not covered by your plan.
Direct billing availability depends on your insurance company, individual policy, remaining benefits and the service being provided.
Services Available for Direct Billing
We can submit eligible claims for the following services:
Chiropractic care
Physiotherapy
Registered massage therapy
Acupuncture provided by our chiropractor
Acupuncture treatments provided by Dr. Jenn are submitted under chiropractic coverage because she is a licensed chiropractor. Patients should confirm that they have sufficient chiropractic benefits available before their appointment.
Current Treatment Fees
Chiropractic treatment: $75 & Initial Assessment $130
Physiotherapy treatment: $80 & Initial Assessment $130
Registered massage therapy, 30 minutes: $80
Registered massage therapy, 45 minutes: $105
Registered massage therapy, 60 minutes: $125
Any portion of the appointment that is not covered by your insurance plan must be paid at the clinic.
How Direct Insurance Billing Works
When you arrive for your appointment, please provide your insurance company name, policy number and member or certificate number.
After your treatment, our front desk will attempt to submit the claim electronically.
Your insurance company will determine how much of the appointment is covered. You will then be responsible for paying any remaining balance.
In some cases, the insurance company may reimburse the patient directly instead of paying the clinic. If this occurs, payment for the full appointment will be required and you will receive a receipt for your records.
What to Bring to Your Appointment
Please bring or have access to the following information:
Your insurance company name
Your policy or plan number
Your member or certificate number
The date of birth of the primary insurance plan holder
Any secondary insurance information
A physician’s referral if required by your insurance plan
A referral is not required to receive treatment at our clinic, but some insurance plans require one before they will reimburse the cost of care.
