Our Oakville chiropractors do not routinely take X-rays at the clinic. When clinically appropriate, treatment can often begin during the first appointment. If imaging or further medical assessment is indicated, we will recommend the appropriate next step.
We do not require patients to purchase large prepaid treatment plans. Care is individualized and progress is reassessed throughout treatment.
Our Glen Abbey clinic offers direct insurance billing for many extended health plans. Chiropractic treatment may include spinal adjustments, soft tissue therapy, shockwave therapy, instrument-assisted soft tissue therapy, rehabilitation exercises and acupuncture when clinically appropriate.
Every treatment plan is based on the patient’s assessment, diagnosis, goals and response to care.

Shockwave Therapy
Shockwave therapy uses targeted acoustic pressure waves and is commonly used for persistent tendon and soft-tissue conditions such as plantar fasciitis, tennis elbow, Achilles tendon problems, and calcific shoulder tendinopathy.
At Glen Abbey Chiropractic & Physiotherapy, we do things a little differently. When shockwave therapy is clinically appropriate, it is included as part of your regular chiropractic or physiotherapy visit rather than being booked and charged as a separate treatment. A chiropractic visit is $75 and a physiotherapy visit is $80.
That means your appointment can include the combination of care your clinician feels is most appropriate for you — such as hands-on treatment, chiropractic care or physiotherapy, shockwave therapy, IFC, exercise advice, and rehabilitation — without adding a separate shockwave fee every time another treatment approach is used.
Our goal is to make each visit as useful as possible. Instead of dividing your care into multiple separately billed services, we focus on what may help you most during that appointment and build the treatment around your individual problem.

Acupuncture
AcupunctureAcupuncture may be incorporated into treatment for certain musculoskeletal complaints, including headaches, elbow pain, and shoulder pain. Dr. Jenn combines acupuncture with other appropriate chiropractic and rehabilitation techniques based on each patient’s assessment and treatment goals.
Doctor Jenn, our certified chiropractor-acupuncture provider, inserts ultra-fine needles that stimulate natural healing and endorphin release without drugs. Treatments are billed under “chiropractor care” for easy insurance claims.
