Rotator Cuff Treatment for
Oakville!
Most patients who enter our Oakville clinic looking for relief from their shoulder pain have a rotator cuff problem and not a deltoid issue. The most common cause of pain is a supraspinatus injury. Without a visual diagnosis of your shoulder our doctors will most likely diagnose you with a shoulder sprain, rotator cuff injury or shoulder impingement syndrome. If Doctor Steve or Doctor Jenn feel the need for further diagnostic tests they will write you a letter for your medical doctor requesting an ultrasound, xray or MRI of the injured shoulder. Once the results from the testing are completed you could get a diagnosis of tendinitis, tendinosis, bursitis or a tear. The shoulder treatment team will evaluate your shoulder and develop a game plan with all the information provided.
Physiotherapy for Shoulder Pain too!
One of the best things about our Oakville clinic is our shared medical team environment! If you have better insurance for physiotherapy in Oakville our Doctors will be more than happy to pass you over to our Oakville Physiotherapy Team.

Shoulder Pain Treatment Oakville
- Stop doing what’s causing the pain. Whether it is sleeping with your arm above your head, pulling luggage or pouring coffee, stop the motions that cause pain in your shoulder.
- Ice….Ice the shoulder every day after work or any type of physical activity.
- Get in for treatment. Before you start any stretching or the rotator cuff exercises listed below, get in for treatment. Our Chiropractor thinks there is no reason for you to start stretching or strengthening your rotator cuff injury when it’s not working biomechanically correct. It would be like walking on a treadmill with a broken ankle. Let’s heal the shoulder first, get it moving better, then begin to strengthen it when its biomechanical function is closer to perfect then stuck in an ugly pattern.
- Treatment for most shoulder injuries will include, IFC, Heat and Ice,
Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Therapy, ART, Shockwave or Acupuncture. Most patients will feel better after their first visit and be substantially improved by visit 7 to 10.
