Chiropractic Approved Lateral Neck Stretch (Trapezius Stretch)
Twice in the Morning – Twice in the Evening – Hold for 1 minute each side
- This stretch can be performed standing or seated
- Look straight forward. Do not let the chin or head drop down
- Drop your ear towards the same shoulder
- Do not let the shoulder lift up
- Use your free hand to gently guide your head a little further until you feel a stretch
- Hold for 1 minute
- Relax and repeat on the other side
Chiropractor Approved Levator Scapulae Stretch
Twice in the Morning – Twice in the Evening – Hold for 1 minute each
- This stretch can be performed standing or seated
- Looking straight forward do not let the chin or head drop down
- Move your ear towards the same shoulder and then turn your head to look down at the same armpit
- Do not let the shoulder lift up
- Use your free hand to gently guide your head a little further until you feel a stretch
- Hold for 1 minute
- Relax and repeat on the other side
Chiropractor Approved Neck Extensor Stretch
Twice in the Morning – Twice in the Evening – Hold for 1 minute each
- This stretch should be performed seated
- Sit with proper posture and look straight ahead
- Gently push you chin back (double chin) while looking straightforward
- While holding your chin back with one hand, use your other hand to reach over the top of your head
- Gently pull the top of your head forward until you feel a stretch along the back of your head
- Hold for 1 minute
- Relax and repeat
Chiropractor Approved Pectoralis Major and Minor Stretch
Twice in the Morning – Twice in the Evening – Hold for 1 minute
- Standing in a doorway with your forearm raised against the wall and your elbow bent to 90 degrees. The elbow should be just above shoulder height
- Gently step through the doorway and turn your body away from the raised arm until you feel a gentle stretch across your chest
- Hold for 1 minute
- Repeat on the other side
