If you are experiencing wrist or thumb pain, conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome or de Quervain’s syndrome may be contributing factors. Pain around the elbow may be related to either tennis elbow or golfer’s elbow, depending on which tendons are affected.

Each of these conditions are different however treatment will include similar techniques. Interferential Current Therapy (IFC) is used to reduce painful symptoms and promote healing of the damaged tissues. IFC is often accompanied with heat to help relax the surrounding muscles. Shockwave therapy is used to break down any scar tissue and further promote the healing process.  Techniques such as active release therapy (ART) or instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) may be used to compliment the previous techniques further enhancing their effects. Icing the injury following treatment will help to reduce excessive inflammation and settle any soreness.
