Standing Side Stretch for low back pain
Standing side stretch is a great starting stretching exercise for people with and without back pain. The main purpose behind this stretch is to release the oblique and the ql on the side. As shown in the video above the exercise starts with the patient getting into the basic starting position by putting their feet together and bringing both arms above the head. Once you have properly gone into the starting posture the first step of the stretching begins. As instructed in the video the patient brings their left arm down and slightly bring your right hip out. During all of this your right arm is still in the air from the base posture. After this the patient leans towards the left while keeping the feet in the same place and posture. The patient then tucks their chin in and stays in that position for about 20 to 30 seconds. Once complete the patient goes back to the base position and does the same steps for the other side. The right arm goes down. The left hip slightly out and lean to the right side as far as possible. Tuck in your chin and remain in that position for about 20 to 30 seconds. If you are in pain during this process please seek advice of a medical professional.
